Abilene Christian Athletics has announced a new partnership with FanWord, one of the leading AI and storytelling companies in college sports. As part of this collaboration, ACU will implement FanWord Assist, FanWord’s AI-powered content creation platform, to enhance the university’s storytelling efforts across all athletic programs.
FanWord Assist enables athletics communications teams to streamline the creation of game recaps, feature stories, alumni spotlights, and player bios, allowing departments to scale content production without sacrificing depth or authenticity.
“Partnering with FanWord is an exciting step forward in how we share the stories of our student-athletes at Abilene Christian,” said Michael Smoose, executive associate athletic director for external operations. “Every athlete has a story worth telling, and this collaboration provides a platform to share how ACU has made an impact on their life in a meaningful, authentic way. Storytelling is powerful — it builds connection, inspires others, and amplifies the unique experiences that make ACU so special.”
