JACKSON, Miss. – Millsaps College, a prominent member of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA), has signed a multi-year agreement with FanWord, one of the leading AI technology and storytelling companies in college sports, to implement its software, FanWord Assist.
This partnership places Millsaps alongside a growing list of NCAA Division III institutions—such as ETBU, Hamline University, UW-Whitewater, Simpson College and Oberlin College—that are turning to innovative solutions to more effectively spotlight their athletic communities.
Known for its academic excellence and commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes, Millsaps College will now gain access to FanWord Assist, a software solution that enables sports communication teams to create high-quality written content—like game recaps, player bios and feature stories—more efficiently than ever before.
“It didn’t take long for us within Millsaps College Athletics and the Sports Information Department to get excited about the benefits FanWord Assist can provide us and our student-athletes,” Millsaps College Director of Sports Information Chris Lawrence said. “We are entering into a new frontier of storytelling and are excited to be on the leading edge.
