Blog – FanWord and Alabama Athletics Renew Storytelling Partnership
Today, FanWord and Alabama Athletics announced an extension of their partnership to further help Alabama student-athletes tell their stories and grow their personal brands.
Alabama Athletics renewed its agreement with FanWord’s storytelling product, FanWord Stories, continuing its investment in student-athlete empowerment and brand-building initiatives.
In 2021, Alabama Athletics and FanWord established The Tide Tribune — a content series dedicated to highlighting the unique stories of Alabama student-athletes, told from their own perspectives.
Since launching the campaign, dozens of Alabama student-athletes shared powerful stories, including men’s basketball player Jaden Shackelford, women’s golf alum Emma Talley, and women’s gymnast and NCAA champion Luisa Blanco.
“When we were first searching for a service to help tell the stories of our student-athletes, we knew it had to be something unique and fun for the fans to read,” said Aaron Jordan, Assistant Athletic Director, Communications. “Christopher and his team at FanWord do a sensational job of telling these stories from a first-person perspective that checked all of our boxes. We’ve received great feedback from our student-athletes and their families, as well as coaches, administrators and fans who have all enjoyed reading the first-perspective features. We are happy to partner with them for another year of storytelling.”
