The UIS athletic department is excited to announce a new multi-year partnership with FanWord, one of the leading storytelling & AI technology companies in college athletics. Through this collaboration, UIS will integrate FanWord Assist, the company’s AI-powered storytelling software, to streamline content creation and amplify the voices of its Prairie Stars community.
This partnership adds another dynamic tool to the UIS Athletics communications arsenal, empowering staff to produce high-quality written content more efficiently—from game recaps and player bios to feature stories and alumni spotlights. As a proud member of NCAA Division II and the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), UIS now joins a growing roster of innovative DII programs using FanWord Assist, including Neumann University, UNC Pembroke, Vanguard, and Fresno Pacific.
“This partnership will enhance our ability to showcase accomplishments and tell stories, all while making the process simple for our staff,” said Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Communication and Operations Libby Price. “FanWord allows us to shine a spotlight on our athletes and alumni, and to share stories we may not have had the capacity to tell before.”
